Here's a great recipe for this summer tea over ice:

Cold Brew Rooibos Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of loose leaf Rooibos tea
  • 4 cups of cold and filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pitcher combine the loose leaf Rooibos tea and cold filtered water. Stir well to ensure all the tea leaves are covered with water.
  2. Add in the honey adjusting the sweetness to your liking. Give it another good stir to dissolve the honey into the tea.
  3. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the pitcher. Slice the remaining half into thin rounds and add them to the mix. The citrusy twist will add a zesty kick to your cold brew.
  4. Cover the pitcher and let the Rooibos tea steep in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours or overnight. This slow and steady brew will ensure a rich and tasty iced tea.
  5. Once thoroughly chilled grab your favourite glass and fill it with ice cubes. Pour the cold brew Rooibos tea over the ice making sure to include some of those refreshing lemon slices.
  6. Sprinkle a few fresh mint leaves on top for a burst of cool aromatic goodness. The mint not only looks fantastic but also adds a delightful touch to every sip.
